Terms of Service

These are the terms that govern your use of MabunCrib. Read them carefully. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a MabunCrib account, or by using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use MabunCrib.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are using MabunCrib on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. What MabunCrib is

MabunCrib is a marketplace for skills, tasks, services and opportunities in South Sudan. It connects people who need work done with people who can do it.

MabunCrib is not a payment platform.

MabunCrib does not process, hold, transfer, guarantee or mediate payments for work. All work terms and any payment for work are arranged directly between the people involved, outside MabunCrib.

The only payment MabunCrib handles is the optional platform membership described in section 5. Membership is a subscription to MabunCrib itself and has nothing to do with payments between users.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. Your MabunCrib identity is linked to that Google account. You are responsible for:

  • keeping your Google account secure;
  • all activity that happens under your MabunCrib account;
  • keeping your profile accurate, including a reachable phone number;
  • notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

One person may not operate more than one MabunCrib account to evade a suspension, duplicate a reputation, or circumvent limits. Organizations are separate from personal accounts and may have additional team members.

4. Marketplace rules

Everything you post on MabunCrib — tasks, services, jobs, applications, messages, reviews — must be honest and lawful. Specifically:

  • You must be who you say you are.
  • You must have the skills or authority you claim.
  • You must not post the same item repeatedly to game discovery.
  • You must not use MabunCrib to run scams, fraud or pyramid schemes.
  • You must not post work that is illegal in South Sudan or in the location where the work happens.
  • You must not post content that is harassing, hateful, sexual, or that sexualizes minors.
  • You must not misrepresent who you are working for or what the work actually is.

5. Payments and membership

MabunCrib does not charge for using the marketplace itself. Browsing, posting tasks, applying, messaging and leaving reviews are free.

MabunCrib offers an optional platform membership. The membership is a monthly or yearly subscription to MabunCrib. Payment is made by bank deposit, MTN MoMo, or cash at the MabunCrib office. Proof of payment is submitted through the platform and reviewed by our team before the membership is activated.

  • Membership is personal to the account it is purchased for.
  • Membership may be transferred to an organization you own at your request.
  • Membership fees are non-refundable once the membership is activated.
  • Membership does not entitle you to any payment from other users.
  • Membership does not create a fiduciary or escrow relationship of any kind.
Beware of scams that ask you to pay outside the platform.

Anyone who asks you to send money to unlock work, guarantee a task, or receive an application is violating these terms. Report it.

6. User content

You keep ownership of the content you post on MabunCrib — your profile, tasks, services, portfolio items, messages and reviews. By posting, you grant MabunCrib a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store and reproduce that content as necessary to run the platform.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share anything you post. Do not upload other people's work, images or documents unless you have permission.

We may remove content that violates these terms, that we believe is unlawful, or that we believe harms the safety of other users.

7. Reviews and reputation

Reviews are a core part of MabunCrib. To keep them useful:

  • You may only review someone you actually worked with on MabunCrib.
  • Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience.
  • You must not offer or accept anything in exchange for a review.
  • You must not post reviews to harass, defame or retaliate against another user.
  • Reviews cannot be edited once submitted, though you may report one that violates these terms.

We may remove reviews that violate these rules, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly post abusive reviews.

8. Prohibited conduct

You may not use MabunCrib to:

  • impersonate a person or organization;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download user data;
  • reverse engineer the platform or attempt to bypass its security;
  • send spam, mass messages, or unsolicited advertising;
  • upload malware, phishing links or malicious attachments;
  • engage in any activity that violates South Sudanese law;
  • facilitate human trafficking, forced labour, or exploitation;
  • facilitate any work involving weapons, drugs, wildlife trafficking, or sexual services;
  • collect payments from users under the false pretence of being MabunCrib.

9. Verification

Individual and organization verification is optional. To become verified, you submit documents (a government ID, a registration certificate, or a professional certificate). These documents are private — only the review team sees them.

Verification does not guarantee anything about a user's behaviour. It confirms only the document provided. You should always exercise your own judgment when working with anyone on MabunCrib.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we believe your continued use would harm the platform or its users.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. When you do, your profile is removed, your tasks are closed, applications are withdrawn, and messages are archived. Some records — such as safety reports, reviews you have given, and financial records related to membership — may be retained for legal reasons.

11. Disclaimers and limits

MabunCrib is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that any particular task will be completed, that any particular user will behave in a certain way, or that the platform will be free from interruption.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, MabunCrib is not liable for:

  • any dispute between users;
  • any loss or damage arising from work arranged through the platform;
  • any payment made or not made between users;
  • any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.

Our total liability to you, for any reason, is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or SSP 50,000, whichever is lower.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will notify you in-app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of MabunCrib after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Sudan. Any dispute arising from your use of MabunCrib is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Sudan.
